A girls weekend in Fairhope, Alabama during the Fairhope International Film Festival-2nd weekend in November!
Friday: Leave early and, if you are heading in the right direction, stop for a top-rated lunch in Mobile. There are many places to choose from, including Kitchen on George, Jerusalem Cafe or The Royal Scam. Or if coming in from the east, check out Lambert's in Foley for big portions and flying rolls!

Take your full belly and head to the Grand Hotel Marriott Resort, Golf Club and Spa in Point Clear and enjoy the girlfriends retreat package. This package includes a special suite, wine and cheese and credit for the spa.
Enjoy a night at the movies with whatever your film festival picks are (4 pack passes are $40 and 8 pack passes are $75). Back at the hotel stop in for a nightcap at The Saltwater Grill.
Saturday: enjoy some more films and than some shopping in Fairhope. If you can get to Panini Pete's Cafe and Bakeshop in Fairhope's French Quarter, try them for lunch and the best beignets around. The Page and Palette Bookstore is located in front of Pete's and is a great place to browse and enjoy a "literary" cocktail, such as a Gin Eyre or Tequila Mockingbird. After a day of shows and shopping, relax at the spa with your friends. For dinner, call ahead to Thyme By The Bay or Thyme on Section for a new twist on Southern cuisine.
Sunday may be time to go but before you do, enjoy a delicious brunch buffet at the hotel!
PS: If films aren't your thing there is an awesome arts festival in March and special girls night out in downtown in May!
